THE HUSTLE & THE BUSTLE

Typically, the churches are seen in isolation, uncluttered by their surroundings, but this was too good to pass up. My FAVORITE place in Timisoara (Piata Unirii and the Catholic Church) ...it is surrounded by outdoor cafes, concert stages and people. This is a formidable church in the clutches of 21st century busyness. 

NIGHT MOVES

These are the spires on the Serbian church, taken from a hazy distance. How cool is this! 

UP & COMING

This contemporary spire sits atop an under construction orthodox cathederal just out of "downtown" Timisoara.

A fantasic sky as the backdrop to this trio of spires.

PIATA MARIA

As this whole thing evolves, I find that "night shots" are so much cooler.... this is a classic one with "turkish" influence. This church is a small scale replica of a famous church in Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul).

This church was recently restored and is quite beautiful.... especially at night! 

You gotta love the sytmmetry of it all.
